The Panthers had another busy weekend with home and home action against the other new expansion team in the NBJHL, the Kent Koyotes.

Action started Friday night in Cocagne, which saw teams go back and forth in a fast paced game. The Panthers held a 2 - 1 lead till the third period until the Koyotes were able to tie things up @ 2. After 60 minutes of regulation did not solve anything the teams took to a 5-minute 4 on 4 overtime period. Both teams traded shots and had their chances but overtime solved nothing and they were off to a shoot out.  Only one goal was scored which gave the Koyotes the 3-2 victory. Even with the lose goalie Patrick Godreau played a fantastic game as usual stopping 35 shots.

Even with the lose the Panthers were able to walk away with 1 point. (Following NBJHL regulations any game that goes into extra time each team is automatically awarded one point, the winner awarded two points).

The home and home continued Saturday night in Hartland. A game that played out almost identical to the previous nights game. A fast paced game they went back and forth and the end of regulation found the two teams tied at 2 goals apiece. Overtime solved nothing and just like the night before we went back to a shoot out. All it took was one goal for the Koyotes to take their second victory in two nights. The Panthers were able to snag 1 single point again grabbing 2 out of 4 points for the weekend.

The Panthers are back at it this weekend with just one game on the schedule.  The Panthers play host to the Hotel Shediac Predators at 7:00PM in Hartland. Keep the Movember donations coming and we hope to see you at the rink!
